British Ambassador to Madagascar, Mr David Ashley said:

“I am delighted that this year we are going to give more girls in Madagascar a chance to see what it is like to be an Ambassador and, through the process, to gain experience, skills and confidence. Thank you to my fellow Ambassadors for joining this initiative. We hope we will receive many competition entries.”

How to enter the competition

The competition is open to girls aged between 14 and 18, of any nationality and background, who live in Madagascar. To apply, simply contact us via WhatsApp number +261 33 30 346 32 and we will send you the form to complete. You will need to reply to one of the following questions through either a 300-word essay, or a short 2-minute video.

Question 1: Do you think that one day Madagascar will see a woman as President? Please elaborate.

Question 2: Do you have any recommendations for giving young Malagasy women greater financial independence?

Question 3: What recommendations would you make to increase access to education for young Malagasy girls?

The end date and time of the competition will be confirmed at a later date.
