07.08.2025 - 17:59:21Statement by the High Representative on behalf of the EU on the alignment of certain countries with Council Implementing Decision 2024/2012 concerning restrictive measures in view of the situation in Libya
BRUSSELS, 05 August 2024 / PRN Africa / -- On 22 July 2024, the Council adopted Council Implementing Decision (CFSP) 2024/20121.
The Council Implementing Decision amends the lists of persons and entities subject to restrictive measures as set out in Annexes II and IV to Decision (CFSP) 2015/1333, and maintains the restrictive measures against all other persons and entities mentioned in those lists.
The candidate countries North Macedonia, Montenegro, Albania, Ukraine, Republic of Moldova, Bosnia and Herzegovina2 and Georgia, as well as the EFTA countries Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway, members of the European Economic Area, align themselves with this Council Decision.
They will ensure that their national policies conform to this Council Decision.
The European Union takes note of this commitment and welcomes it.
