It underscored the importance of the EU's Youth Action Plan, an initiative designed to engage, empower, and connect young people globally, and highlighted the EU's role as the largest provider of public climate finance to the Global South
The Summit's success was marked by a collaborative effort where students from 20 Tanzanian high schools, along with representatives from various diplomatic missions, worked together to draft a Proposal Paper. This paper, embodying the Tanzanian youth's perspectives on climate issues, is poised for presentation at COP28.
This endeavor showcases TaSCC's ambition to become a prominent voice for climate action among students in East Africa, emphasizing the essential role of youth and marginalized communities in shaping global climate policies. The EU's involvement in this process is vital, serving as a catalyst for bringing these important perspectives to the forefront of international climate discourse.
