Despite achieving the regulatory milestone of U.S. spot ETF approvals—making it only the third digital asset after Bitcoin and Ethereum to do so—the cryptocurrency has experienced substantial price depreciation. In a landmark decision for the digital asset space, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission granted approval for spot Solana exchange-traded products in late October 2025.
