Quarterly results and outlook
- The moves came ahead of Procter & Gamble’s latest quarterly report, released January 22. In the company’s second quarter of fiscal year 2026, revenue reached $22.2 billion, up 1% from the prior year.
- Adjusted earnings per share stood at $1.88, matching the previous year. Analysts had anticipated this EPS level, while revenue came in slightly below expectations.
- Management reaffirmed the full-year guidance for organic revenue growth and for growth in adjusted EPS.

Current market context
- The stock opened at $161.27 on the trading day in question.
- Insider sales of this magnitude are not unusual for a conglomerate of P&G’s size and can reflect standard compensation practices or personal financial planning. The proximity to the quarterly results and the prevailing share price level likely influenced the timing of the transactions.
