Exploration Company Updates
Exploration Company Updates. Smartstox.com Spotlights Molycor Gold, Blackstone Ventures, and Avalon Ventures
Molycor Gold Corp. (TSX.V: MOR; Frankfurt: M1V) announced this week that assay results are back for the grab samples gathered at the Davis Gold property in Nevada’s prolific Walker Lane, and they show encouraging gold and silver values. Molycor recently added a number of new claims to the project, as well. Molycor’s CEO, Larry Reaugh, tells us more about Molycor’s gold and molybdenum projects in Nevada and British Columbia in our Smartstox interview at http://www.smartstox.com/interviews/mor.
Blackstone Ventures (TSX: BLV) Last week Blackstone announced that their recent drilling at their Espedalen project in Norway has intersected massive and semi-massive sulphide mineralization at shallow depths which has assayed up to 5.93% Ni. The results demonstrate the continuity of high-grade nickel mineralization at the project’s Stormyra deposit, which now extends for one kilometre along strike. Sulphides were also intersected at the project’s Andreasburg, Storgruva, and Trona nickel occurrences. Blackstone currently has seven drills turning on their projects in Norway and Sweden. The company’s CFO, David Douglas, and COO, Dean MacEachern, talk to us about Blackstone’s exploration progress in Scandinavia in our Smartstox interview available at http://www.smartstox.com/interviews/blv.
Avalon Ventures Ltd. (TSX.V: AVL) recently announced the initial assay results for their 2007 fall drilling program at their Thor Lake Rare Metals project located near Yellowknife, NWT. Significantly, the program found a high proportion of the ‘heavy rare earth elements’ in all of the intercepts. Heavy rare earth elements are generally more scarce and valuable than the light rare earths, and are critical to many new applications in electronics and hybrid cars. A Phase Two drill program begins shortly. Company president Donald Bubar tells us more about Thor Lake and some of Avalon’s other projects in our interview available at http://www.smartstox.com/interviews/avl.
